We will talk about it with Maria Curi, Axios tech policy reporter. (1) U.S. House passes a bill to create a civics curriculum to teach students the dangers of communism and totalitarianism. Debra Tice mother of Austin Tice, the U.S. hostage taken in Syria a dozen years ago, says a reliable source confirms her son is alive. Other Tice family members say at a National Press Club news conference that the Biden Administration doing enough to help free Austin. U.S. economy added 227,000 jobs in November, according to the Labor Department, while the unemployment rate rose from 4.1% to 4.2%. White House responds to reports that President Joe Biden is considering preemptive pardons for some current and former administration officials, Members of Congress, and others who may be targeted for prosecution when President-elect Donald Trump take office.
