#119 - Swish (Manu) Goswami | Meet This 21-Year-Old LinkedIn Legend

“It wouldn’t surprise me if this 19-year-old one day becomes Prime Minister. Manu Goswami hunted me down and interviewed me on ideas around success. It was wonderful meeting one of our best and brightest up & coming young minds.” – Michael Hyatt, CEO of BlueCat Networks Swish Goswami is a 21-year-old two-time TEDx speaker (signed with Speakers’ Spotlight and The AAT Project), venture capitalist (at JB Fitzgerald Venture Capital founded by NBA player Trevor Booker), LinkedIn Youth Editor (over 65K followers) UN Youth Ambassador and serial entrepreneur. After successfully building Technotronics, Swish is now the founder and CEO of Trufan, a new age media company building technology to help influencers, brands and agencies discover and reward their top fans. Swish has previously acted as a consultant for Fortune 500 companies like Google, Western Union, and American Express. He also sits on various boards including at Dunk (media network of 10M followers hyper-focused on basketball) and the League of Innovators (Canadian charity started by Ryan Holmes, CEO of HootSuite). Swish has been published in over fifty national and international publications and has notably been inducted into Plan Canada’s Top 20 under 20, recognized as Startup Canada’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year and won the United Nation’s Outstanding Youth Leadership award. When Manu was 10, he started a hovercraft business and employed his own father as his Chief Project Engineer. Manu sold his first and only hovercraft for $200 which he donated to a local orphanage. Manu grew up with a speech impediment and though he was never bullied, he was not ignorant to the stigma faced by individuals who suffer from mental, verbal, and physical disabilities. This was a contributing factor in shaping Manu’s continued belief that the most successful businesses can be built on a foundation that provides a positive social impact to others. He is also an avid advocate for youth entrepreneurship and mental health having collectively represented over 260,000 students and reached over 6,000 children internationally by acting as the National Youth Ambassador for several organizations including the Leave the Pack Behind initiative, Speak Your Mind Project, Progeria Research Foundation, Alberta’s Ministry of Education, Center for Addiction and Mental Health’s Thought Spot initiative, and the Next Big Thing. Manu was recently appointed a United Nations Youth Ambassador, becoming the second Canadian to receive this distinction. As an ambassador, Manu will be delivering a speech on food security at the 71st Session of the United Nations, working with a focus group led by former British diplomat Thomas Fletcher with the aim of drafting a report for the United Nations on how it can improve using digital technology to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and attending the 2016 UN Youth Assembly at the UN Headquarters in New York City. - http://manugoswami.com/ - https://www.instagram.com/goswish/ - https://www.linkedin.com/in/swishgoswami/ Please do NOT hesitate to reach out to me on Instagram, LinkedIn or via email mark@vudream.com LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/mark-metry/ Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/markmetry/ Twitter - https://twitter.com/markymetry Humans 2.0 Twitter - https://twitter.com/Humans2Podcast Medium - https://medium.com/@markymetry Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/mark.metry.9 Mark Metry - https://www.markmetry.com/
