The 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup is the 22nd FIFA Women's World Cup, the quadrennial international football world championship for women organized by FIFA. It will be hosted by Australia and New Zealand from 20 July to 20 August 2023. This will be the first time that the tournament has been hosted by two countries and the first time that it has been held in the Oceania region.

As of 8 February 2023, there are a total of 32 teams qualified for the tournament. The teams qualified through the following competitions:

  • CONMEBOL (South America): 3 teams (winner of 2022 Copa América Femenina, runner-up, and third-placed team)
  • UEFA (Europe): 8 teams (winners of the 2021 UEFA Women's Euro and the semi-finalists)
  • CAF (Africa): 4 teams (winners of the 2022 African Women's Cup of Nations and the three best-ranked teams from the quarter-finals)
  • CONCACAF (North and Central America and Caribbean): 4 teams (winners of the 2022 Concacaf W Championship and the three best-ranked teams from the semi-finals)
  • AFC (Asia): 5 teams (winners of the 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup and the four best-ranked teams from the quarter-finals)
  • OFC (Oceania): 1 team (winner of the 2023 OFC Women's Nations Cup)

The draw for the tournament was held on 22 October 2022 in Auckland, New Zealand. The teams were drawn into eight groups of four teams, with each group containing one team from each of the six confederations.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage, which will consist of a round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and a final. The final will be played at Eden Park in Auckland on 20 August 2023.

The defending champions are the United States, who won their fourth title in 2019. The United States is also the most successful team in the history of the Women's World Cup, having won the tournament four times.

The 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup is expected to be a great success. The tournament will be played in two countries with a strong passion for football. The teams participating in the tournament are all very strong, and it is difficult to predict who will win the title.
