We also hear portions of two high-profile U.S. Senate debates: in Maryland between Larry Hogan (R) and Angela Alsobrooks (D), and in Arizona between Ruben Gallego (D) and Kari Lake (R). The United Nations accuses Israel of intentionally firing on UN peacekeepers in Lebanon. Social justice activist Ethel Kennedy, wife of the late Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, has died at age 96.
