Neurosurgeon Risheng Xu was brought into the case, and he determined that Pat had a #meningioma — a benign, slow-growing tumor — along the skull base region of her brain. Xu performed a long and challenging surgery to dissect the tumor away from the nerve and free it from the blood vessels, which ultimately restored Pat’s vision.
