Pros and Cons of Using an Automatic Car Wash

With spring just around the corner, the lines at your nearest automatic car wash are surely going to be full. Nevertheless, is going through the automated wash a good idea? It may surprise you that these car washes can cause extensive damage. So let’s learn the pros and cons of using an automatic car wash.

Pros

Convenience

The real reason people decide on an automatic car wash is its convenience. All it takes is an extra hit of the button at the pump or a quick conversation at the corner car wash business to get it clean. Plus, it requires little to no effort on your part to get the gunk off your vehicle.

Improved Technology

Automatic car washes have come a long way in trying to best clean cars than in previous years. They wash a car more completely and thoroughly than they did originally. In fact, some automatic car washes may have dirtied your vehicle more than before you drove through. However, today’s fully automated washing facilities include cutting-edge cleaning technology.

Touchless

Touchless technologies limit the possibility of paint damage. Suppose you can’t manually wash your car with high-quality microfiber towels or mitts. In that case, the touchless solution is optimal.

Cons

Choose Wisely

Choosing the incorrect facility might harm your vehicle. Specialists in automotive paint protection err on the side of caution and typically avoid automatic washes because of the destruction they can cause. For example, automatic car washes can damage your car’s exterior paint. It’s also not out of the ordinary for some customers to lose a mirror or antenna and even find dents after completion.

Leaves Water Spots

Even with industrial-level driers, your vehicle is susceptible to water spots. Most facilities use unfiltered municipal water, which has a greater calcium deposit. As the unfiltered water evaporates from the surface, those deposits dry quickly, leaving the spots behind.

Harsh Chemicals

Some fully automated washes feature an industrial level alkaline enhanced degreasing shampoo. These formulas are excellent for removing any substances stuck on the exterior. However, the abrasive soap leaves a trace on exposed paint, eating away at the coat and leading to corrosion and rust.

Verdict

After learning the pros and cons of using an automatic car wash, what is the best option for you and your vehicle? It depends entirely on how much you care about your car. If it’s an older vehicle with thousands of miles on it, the odds are you’re not too keen on its outward appearance. On the other hand, if it’s a new car right off the lot, you want to do your best to keep it looking sharp. Thus, if you want something quick and painless, automatic is the way to go. A manual wash’s tenderness, love, and care are better if you’re overly concerned about the exterior.

On 23 April 2024, in commemoration of the English Language Day 2024 at the United Nations, the UN Movie Society of the United Nations Staff Recreation Council will inaugurate the “Shakespeare at the UN”–  an exploration of how the timeless works of Shakespeare, reflecting the human experience, may resonate with the core values of the UN, including promoting understanding of humanity and fostering global connections. Celebrating the English language at the United Nations English Language Day at the United Nations is celebrated on the 23rd of April — the date traditionally observed as both the birthday and date of death of William Shakespeare. As well as being the English language's most famous playwright, Shakespeare had a significant impact on modern-day English. Shakespeare's creativity with language meant he contributed hundreds of new words and phrases: 'gossip'; 'fashionable' and 'lonely' were all first used by Shakespeare. He also invented phrases like 'break the ice', 'faint-hearted' and 'love is blind'. ------------------------ Language days at the UN English Language Day is the result of a 2010 initiative by the UN's Department of Global Communications, establishing language days for each of the Organization's six official languages. The purpose of the UN's language days is to celebrate multilingualism and cultural diversity, and to promote equal use of all six official languages throughout the Organization. Under the initiative, UN duty stations around the world celebrate six separate days, each dedicated to one of the Organization's six official languages. With the goal of increasing awareness and respect for the history, culture and achievements of each of the six working languages among the UN community, Language Days at the UN aim to entertain, as well as to inform. ---------------------- Learn more -English Language Day website: https://www.un.org/en/observances/english-language-day -English Language Quiz: https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=2zWeD09UYE-9zF6kFubccJdmpD9tQw5BnFJcj1bO5nRUN0pQSVFMNFo1RDI0Qlo5WU1WVDBTUjEwMi4u

This is the moment a 240-metre television tower in Ukraine broke in half and collapsed into the ground. Local officials said the tower fell after a Russian airstrike hit Kharkiv. Ukrainian President Zelensky said the attack was “an intimidation to make the terror noticeable to the whole city” and an attempt to limit Kharkiv’s “communication and access to information”. Some experts predict that Russia is edging towards a renewed ground offensive against Kharkiv. It’s not the first time Russia has struck the TV tower, the first time being in March 2022 just after the war began. But Kharkiv has seen an increase in attacks in the last month and its shortage in air defence supplies has led President Zelensky to call for more funding and aid to help support his country. #ukraine #russia #kharkiv Subscribe here: http://bit.ly/ODNsubs TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@ondemandnews Twitter: https://twitter.com/ODN Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ODN/ If you wish to purchase any of our clips for commercial use, please visit: http://www.itnproductions.co.uk/news/

A group of hikers exploring the Dead Sea in Israel came across the remnants of a large missile. The origins of the missile or how it got here are unconfirmed but it was found just a week after Iran’s unprecedented missile attack on Israel on April 13. A similar missile remnant, which Israel claims to have been intercepted from Iran, was also found in the Dead Sea last week. The missile debris is over 10m long and is thought to be part of the fuel tank of a missile. Iran launched over 300 strikes, including 120 ballistic missiles, on multiple cities in Israel on the night of April 13. Only a tiny number made it past Israel’s air-defence system, with Israel claiming it and its allies intercepted 99% of the attacks.
